PSCHS celebrates over 175 years of skating!
We’re the only member of US Figure Skating still in our original building, and we’re committed to preserving this legacy and the future of our rink and club.
Protect our future. Preserve our heritage.
For more than 175 years, PSCHS has played a prominent role for skating enthusiasts and competitors both locally and within US Figure Skating. Our rink has been home to Olympic, World, and National champions, as well as the thousands of competitive and recreational skaters who’ve graced our ice surface.
To continue this legacy, we need your support. Read more about it here or make your gift today:
There are essential capital improvements that the Club must make to continue operating. Today, we’re at the most critical stage of our capital campaign: the ice and the air.
Installing a new state-of-the-art ice surface and cooling system will preserve our ice while offering the very best surface conditions for future skating.
We have a match!
Two of Philadelphia’s most generous philanthropists have offered the Club challenge grants totalling $450,000 that will help us sprint closer to our $2.2 million goal to preserve the ice and the air.
To receive the grants, we MUST raise the match by year-end – and when we do, every dollar that you’ve given will be doubled! This is your chance to maximize your support for the Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society, while playing a critical role in protecting our future.

Why Support PSCHS?
The Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society is a piece of Philadelphia and figure skating history renowned the world over.
But it’s also more than that: it’s a community of skaters and friends who show up for each other, who build lasting friendships and share a love of figure skating. It’s a gateway to a lifelong love of a sport, and a place to come home to; somewhere for young people to build confidence, strength, and skills; and where old friends remain connected through whatever life brings.
With your support, we will make essential updates to the Ice and Air to meet current regulatory standards and ensure that the Club remains a cherished institution for generations to come.
Without these essential updates, in a few years, our Club will no longer have ice.
