John Thomas, a national, international and world competitor, works in the fields of
Dance, Free Style, Moves in the Field, and Hockey Power Skating. He is
also a noted choreographer. John is comfortable working with students of
all ages and skating abilities.
John medaled at the Canadian Figure Skating Championships, was a Junior Canadian
Champion and skated on the Canadian World and Olympic Teams. In 1984 he
and partner Kelly Johnson represented Canada at the 1984 Winter Olympics in
Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. He is a double gold medalist in dance and free
dance.
John has been coaching Synchronized Skating since 1996
and is the Synchronized Skating Coach for PSC&HS’s Team Philly Spirit
as well as with Team Tour de Force in Hamilton, New Jersey. He is
a member of both USFSA and the Professional Skater’s Association (PSA).
