Associates


Junior Annual

A Junior Annual Associate is a skater who is under the age of 18 and is a competitor or a potential competitor. It gives the skater a chance to know the Club prior to joining as a member upon reaching the age of 18. Junior Annual Associates have unlimited skating privileges at appropriate sessions. Although not a member of the club (no voting privileges), Junior Annual Associates are entitled to participate in Junior Club activities and may claim PSC&HS as their home club with the USFSA. The 2004–2005 dues are $1,100 (Winter Season) or $1,400 (Club Season).

Associate One/Two

An Associate One skater is entitled to skate one session per week. An Associate Two skater is entitled to skate two sessions per week. Associates One/Two are entitled to skate only on Associate designated sessions determined annually by the Ice Committee. The 2004–2005 dues for Associate One are $300 (Winter Season). The 2004–2005 dues for Associate Two are $550 (Winter Season).

College Student

A College Student Associate is for a student at a local college, who is not otherwise a local resident. This category is limited to full-time undergraduate students whose permanent residence is 60 miles or more from the Club. It is not intended for persons who permanently live in the area and go to college in the area. It is limited to a maximum of five years and the student must be under the age of 26 years of age. College Student Associates have unlimited skating privileges at appropriate sessions. The 2004–2005 dues for a College Student Associate are $700 (Winter Season).


Restrictions for PSC&HS Associates

  1. A skater may apply for only one type of Associate.

  2. Associates are not entitled to bring guests into PSC&HS.

  3. Associates may be guests of PSC&HS members up to four (4) times per year at sessions not open to Associates.

  4. An Associate is not entitled to participate in Club social functions except those specifically designated so by the Board of Governors.

  5. Associates are not entitled to compete in Club competitions (i.e., Junior Club Competition) except where noted.

  6. Associates may not claim PSC&HS as their home club with the USFSA except where noted.

  7. The Club reserves the right to establish minimum/maximum “qualifications” to be eligible to skate at certain sessions.

  8. The Club reserves the right to limit the number of skaters during certain sessions to assure safety for all. Should it be necessary to limit the skaters for any particular session, Club members will be given first priority.

  9. Associates must be proposed by a Club member and seconded by another Club member or a PSC&HS Staff Coach.
